Both as a person and a counsellor, I believe that essentially we all strive towards the positive, but that life’s experiences can hold back our growth at times and leave us feeling lacking or broken.
I wholeheartedly believe that broken people can get better, and that counselling can be a helpful and insightful tool in facilitating that healing. Counselling is your space to talk through, look at, or even avoid whatever you want to. My approach essentially depends on you and what works for you as an individual, but overall you will find me warm, empathic, and non-judgemental.
I am comfortable and competent working with trauma and I have several years specialist counselling experience in issues around relationships, addiction, domestic and sexual abuse, anxiety, depression, and self esteem.
I qualified as a person-centred counsellor in 2011, and I am registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.
I have had training in other counselling modalities, so may also integrate other skills and theories into our work together depending on what feels appropriate.
I find that inner child work can be a helpful and insightful way to connect with our deeper self.
My sessions are carried out via video link using doxy.me. This is an online platform that is simple to use and doesn't require any downloads or costs to you. This means I am able to work with any adult in the UK.
I believe that counselling should be available to all, but am aware that financial circumstances can be a barrier to this, my sessions are therefore charged at a very competitive rate of £30 for a therapeutic hour.
If experiencing financial hardship please contact me for availability of further concessions.
